an interview with CFA Judge Ann Pevey

Jay:  What made you decide to get your first cat and what kind was it?
Ann:  My husband bought my first show cat. It was a brown tabby Persian.

Jay:  When did you become involved in breeding and why?
Ann: I took the first cat to a show (Houston Cat Club) and won in premiership.  I saw his half-brother (a champion) bought him and began with that (after getting some females, of course!)

Jay:  What breeds have you/do you breed, and why?
Ann: I've bred Persians - Blacks, Tabbies, Parti-colors (my first loves). I've Had Manx for 11 years, some Orientals, and 2 Abys. (my new love)

Jay:  When did you become involved in CFA and why?
Ann: I have always been involved with CFA. 

Jay:  What other organizations, if any, have you been involved with?
Ann:  I have never been involved with any other associations.

Jay:  When and why did you decide to become a judge?
Ann:  I Became a judge in 1989 - started thinking about it when I campaigned GRC Wynden Spodiodi ( CFA #2 Cat 1988) Traveled all over the country and realized how I wanted to get my hands on ALL the gorgeous cats!

Jay:  What is your fondest memory in CFA?
Ann: I Have many fond memories of CFA. Mostly handling some extraordinary cats, plus the wonderful friends I have made all over the world.
